I’m out on my own
with my dancing –
romancing!
All soulish and lonesome;
all jumpy
and live.
In front?
Maybe once – but now
mostly behind!

It’s a frightening
awakening,
unabashed assault,
on my brain
every day
and it’s sending me old!

Lying, cheating
thieving swines’.
Stole my life –
then broke my mind!

Caught my soul
and watched it shatter
Loaned my love for life,
to batter!

First they broke me!
Then they raped me:
Doubled back
and swiped my money!

My friend butchers –
beggars all!
Stole my brightness
killed my soul.

Those dawns you dance for
where loves eye might see,
leaves nothing to cry for,
still loving you greatly

Dancer

There once was a dancer
a furtive entrancer

Androgyny performer
The dancer was known
Through a land empty – walking,
and fumbling and talking –
no others would dance
and no others would sing.

So singular dancer
well rounded and good,
would dance to their music
(and sing for their feet)
while our land free of movement
watched dancing the treat.

There once was a dancer
lone song in the din

A colour ambassador
flute chanting its rhyme
throughout lands of grey
by peoples dismay
and this dancing entrancer
caught up all the day

While a light shone its lightness
while the muffled birds watch
as time moved abruptly
to a well measured tune
So brightness was shared
by a dance in the noon

There once was a dancer
crowned colour through grey

A dancer still dancing
To nobodies songs.

The Tales of Fires Life

You were the débutante;
you were the flyer!
The one with the dream to be –
The child to reach higher.

You always knew it:
Your effortless charm.
A cherished companion –
the blaze on my arm!

I felt you glowing –
the heat of your soul.
I thought you were growing,
yet doubted you’d go.

Imbibing this anodyne,
I was Earth wire, while
thru tricks; thru entrancement,
you mastered the fire.

I staid your energy:
Was I the downer?
When you danced searingly
were I your drowner?

Always you knew the truth.
Always you’ll know me.
I found a route to you
and died directly!Night fire

Soft Light

Here’s a silken
sumptuous
body
shaking light
through beads of sweat,
here’s throbbing dancers
dark in corners – caught
in time drawn by your threat.
They claim no reverence,
or knowledge,
of your fears that need no name.
For the sacred
are but captives
in this land they call the same.

In the shimmer of the moonlight
in the shining of the sun
on
this
flesh
which bears reflections
when they meld
and join
as one…
This is where all darkness
comes to hide –
where fear is thought to grow;
so our body sweat
still glistens
from a deep-felt naked glow.
